Legal Representative License for a Legal Entity

This service allows beneficiaries to obtain a license to represent their private legal entity in court. It is specifically for employees working in the legal departments of establishments, enabling them to handle an unlimited number of cases on behalf of the entity.

Application Requirements

1. Educational Qualification:
   The applicant must hold at least a bachelor's degree in Sharia or Law from a Saudi university or an equivalent degree from outside the Kingdom.
2. Power of Attorney:
   • A power of attorney must be issued internally by the entity's representative (institution or company).
   • The duration of the power of attorney must not be less than one year.
   • It must include the entity's national unified number and specify the following tasks: claiming, filing lawsuits, pleading, and defending.
3. Employment Statement:
   A document from the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) showing the employment duration and wages. The document must confirm the applicant’s registration with the company or institution. A certificate of subscription is not sufficient.
4. Employment Contract:
   A copy of the employment contract, written in Arabic.
5. Proof of Employment:A recent statement confirming that the applicant is currently employed in the legal department of the company or institution.
6. Entity Documents:
   • For companies: A copy of the company's founding contract is required.
   • For institutions: This document is not mandatory.
   • A copy of the commercial registration.
   • A basic information statement about the entity issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (accessible via their website).
   • The entity’s national address.
7. Matching Documentation:
   All submitted documents must correspond to the entity being represented.
8. Submission:
   The application must be submitted using the entity’s national unified number.

Application Steps

1. Log in to the Najiz portal using a National Access account.
2. Select All Electronic Services.
3. Choose the Licenses Package.
4. Access the Request a Legal Representative License service.
5. Click Submit New Request.
6. Enter the power of attorney number.
7. Upload the required documents.
8. Submit the application.
9. The applicant will receive a text message with the request number.

Processing Time

Although no specific timeframe is guaranteed, based on experience, processing typically takes 1 to 14 working days. This estimate may vary depending on the workload of the responsible authority.

License Validity

The license remains valid for the duration specified in the submitted power of attorney.
